FREE Shipping Policy:

Shipping can be a hassle, we get it! We want our products to be accessible to everyone, without any big shipping fees tagged on at the end of your checkout. To make shopping a breeze, we are offering FREE Canada wide shipping on all saunas, hot tubs, cold tubs, fire pits, and furniture over $200! 

*Standard shipping fees apply to sauna and hot tub accessories.
**Remote locations may incur a minor shipping fee (see Remote Shipping section below).

We want to make your experience as easy and streamlined as possible, but if you happen to run into any issues in the checkout please give us a call and we will work to remedy the situation!


Order Confirmation:

As soon as you place your order, you will receive an order confirmation e-mail. This means that we have received your order in our system and pre-authorized your credit card for the purchase.

As soon as we receive your order we check to confirm that your order is in stock and available for shipment. If your item is on back-order or unavailable we will void the pre-authorization and reach out to you via email to see if alternate arrangements can be made.

If your item(s) are available we will process the charges and get to work preparing your order for shipment.

Please note: many of the products listed on My Backyard Lodge are built-to-order, meaning that they are manufactured upon ordering. Please allow 3-8 weeks for your product to be manufactured and shipped.


Order Shipment:

My Backyard Lodge works with multiple trusted manufacturers and builders across Canada. As such, each product will be shipped from the respective manufacturers warehouses. When you place an order with items from different manufacturers, you will receive your items in multiple packages or crates.

If your order is in stock and we process the charges to your credit card, we will send you shipping confirmation within 48 hours of your order leaving the warehouse to the e-mail address you provided when checking out.

If you do not receive your order confirmation from us within four business days of your order, please follow up with us at shipping@mybackyardlodge.com.

For larger items such as saunas, hot tubs, cold plunge tubs, and fire pits, the courier will contact the customer to arrange delivery/pickup times. Additional fees and delays may apply if the courier is unable to reach the customer, or if the customer makes any further requests of the driver upon delivery. Smaller items will be sent via. Canada Post or UPS and will be delivered at the drivers discretion.


Receiving Saunas & Hot Tubs:

Unless otherwise specified, all saunas, hot tubs, cold plunge tubs, and fire pits are shipped in secure crates to your property where your driveway meets the road, or to a local depot to be picked up by the customer upon request.

For hot tubs and smaller 6-7’ foot saunas, the truck driver may use a lift gate to remove the crate from the truck. For larger 8-10’ saunas, customers are responsible for opening and unloading the crate by hand. This can be done in 20-30 minutes, and will require a few friends and a drill with a #8 Robertson bit.

In some areas tail gate lift trucks are limited or unavailable. In this case, and for larger units, you will need to remove the pieces off the pallet by hand. Crates and pallets may also be removed with a forklift or skid steer sourced by the customer.

If a larger crane is required to lift the unit to a specific location on the property, this is the responsibility of the customer to organize.

If you would like to pick up the crate at a local depot, please indicate in the “Notes” when placing the order, or give us a call. Storage fees may apply if there are delays in the customer retrieving the item from the local delivery terminal.

Please note, any unforeseen freight and storage fees are to be paid by the customer. Any special requests made to the driver by the customer will likely incur additional shipping costs.


Damages:

Please inspect the packaging of your item(s) when they arrive, if you notice any damage you should make note of it on the Bill of Lading (BOL) before signing for delivery, or do not agree to accept the delivery.

If the unit is signed for without inspection or notation, you are accepting the delivery of the package in good condition. We cannot process an insurance claim with the freight company if the unit is signed for (which means you received it in good condition).

If you do accept delivery you are required to immediately take photos using your smartphone or camera of any damaged packaging or products inside the packaging within 48 hours. Please send photos and details to shipping@mybackyardlodge.com.

Any damages incurred after the signing of the BOL is at the expense of the customer and is not covered by warranty or shipping insurances.


Remote Shipping:

We recognize the logistical hurdles associated with shipping to remote destinations. Whether you reside on a small island, deep in the woods, in Northern communities, or other distant areas, we're committed to ensuring accessibility to our products.

Our approach to remote shipping fees is straightforward: we only charge for any shipping overages beyond the standard allowance for our shipping policy. This means you'll receive fair pricing tailored to your specific location.

Any unconventional means of transporting your product beyond the “end of the road” are the responsibility of the customer. This may include float planes, personal watercraft, helicopters, or 4x4 vehicles.

It is our mission to make our products accessible to anyone, regardless of how remote they may be. If you anticipate any logistical challenges in receiving your product at your destination, send an email to shipping@mybackyardlodge.com and we will work with you to find a solution!


US Shipping:

Sales and shipping via. our website is currently only available to Canadian addresses at this time. However, we are working to make our products available through our online store to our American neighbors.

If you live in the United States, you can still place an order with us over the phone or email. US customers will be responsible for covering shipping fees. However, there are no sales taxes or duties, and we cover any handling fees for customs paperwork.

Orders over $2500 CAD will require the customers Social Security Number or Business Tax ID Number to clear customs. This information is promptly deleted once the proper customs paperwork has been filed.
